ay 2: Living as God’s Temple
“Don’t you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?”[ 1
Corinthians 3:16]
Recognizing that we are God’s temple reminds us of how we should live our lives
with much regard for Him being in us. Similar to the admiration for the greatness of God by
the creation or His love that is eternal, and knowing that His Spirit is within us makes our
worship in the congregation or our heart. This awareness results in living a life of
humiliation, submission, and productivity, Alper with His divinity. Were we to get a clear
understanding of the importance of being the temple of the Lord, then we would devote
ourselves to godly worship, live chaste, sanctified lives, and be amazed at the working of His
Spirit within us from day to day.
Dear Jesus, for You have chosen me to be Your temple and for having poured Your
Holy Spirit inside me. Give me the eyes to recognize myself the way You do special, holy,
and loved. Remind me that you never see me ordinary, Lord. Amen.
